Presenters

Michael Hobbs completed his Ph.D. in Biochemistry in 2006 and has since worked in the biotech industry in Product Development, Manufacturing, Process Improvement and for the last 10 years, Operational Excellence. Michael obtained ASQ Black Belt Certification in 2010 and has led Operational Excellence programs at the site, network and global levels. In these roles he was responsible for developing and deploying business systems, sub-systems, tools and training. His mission is to and empower every level of a business to create and sustain a continuous improvement culture that transforms their impact on customers and the business. Michael lives in Madison, coaches chess, serves on the board of the Madison Symphony Orchestra and plays banjo. For the past seven years, his favorite hobby is showing people baby pictures after presentations.
