Description
Steven will introduce the notion of leading beyond the silo -- working proactively with non-supply chain personnel to achieve corporate objectives.
He defines what it means, why it is important, and we identify tactics and strategies that can be used to achieve this goal. The presentation will emphasize four major takeaways:
? The goals and tensions facing supply chain managers cannot be addressed by working within the supply chain silo.
? Leading beyond the silo requires supply chain leaders rather than managers.
? Leading beyond the silo requires managing the tension between the needs of the firm and the needs of supply chain.
? Leading beyond the silo transforms the supply chain leader into a change agent.
