Luis Boj has been involved in supply chain for over 17 years. He has been with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since 2018 and in his current role as a strategic relationship manager, he specializes in the humanitarian aid branch of the church both domestically and abroad.
John E. Boyer, Jr., is President of J. E. Boyer Company, Inc., a manufacturing and education consulting company founded in 1987. He has 40 years combined experience as a manufacturing professional, consultant, and university educator including time with Rockwell International, Emerson Electric, and Weber State University. Mr. Boyer works with executive teams, board of directors, managers, and operational experts from manufacturing and distribution companies to achieve profitable growth and improved return on investment. He has completed 41 S&OP design and implementation projects in a wide variety of industries including metal fabrication, electronics, sporting goods, aerospace, and medical equipment. John has a BS-IE from Lehigh University and an MBA from Utah State University, is an APICS CFPIM, is a frequent speaker for many APICS chapters and other professional organizations and has made 26 APICS International Conference presentations.
Barry Brewer has a variety of industry and academic experience. He has 20 years of industry experience a logistics officer with the United States Air Force in many different positions and locations. In addition to being an associate professor at the Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business, he has held academic positions at the Air Force Institute of Technology, the United States Air Force Academy, the University of Wyoming and New Mexico State University. He currently teaches MBA and undergraduate supply chain and operations management courses. Barry has a history of working with companies to enable student success. At New Mexico State University he was the director of the Center for Supply Chain Entrepreneurship and at the University of Wyoming he led the University of Wyoming Innovation, Strategy & Entrepreneurship initiative.
Mark Christensen has extensive experience in global purchasing. He is currently the general manager at Aspen Co-pak . He has his CPIM certification through ASCM and has also earned his CPM in the past. He has volunteered for years in the local ASCM (APICS) chapter and acted as the Pacific West District Manager for 18 western chapters from 2009-2015.
Silvano Sbarra is a management consultant helping companies to reduce operating costs and improve total quality with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance). He has been with Japan Efficient Systems (JES America, Inc) since 2013. He is Master Black Belt Lean Six Sigma, earned his MBA through University of Phoenix and his undergraduate degree is in Logistic and Production Engineering from Universita degli Studi di Milano.
Tim Valentiner brings extensive experience working in small-holder agriculture supply chains in developing countries, most recently in the flavor, fragrance, and aromatherapy industries focused on ethical sourcing, botanical supply chain traceability, and sustainability. He recently founded Alltruix Impact LLC, a consultancy which provides "For Purpose + For Profit" advisory services for building purpose-driven and environment-focused organizations, supply chains, companies, and brands (including meeting or exceeding corporate sustainability EU regulations).
Tim has a unique background with over 25 years of experience managing purpose-driven impact and supply chain initiatives and has extensive experience in sourcing but also building and managing supply chains in over 40 countries. Previous to Alltruix, positions included Vice President, Global Strategic Sourcing for doTERRA International, Principal at Kealakekua Carbon Forward (building native reforestation programs and access to carbon markets), and staff and later as a consultant for The World Bank (agriculture and rural development unit).
Tim received a BA degree in Political Science from the University of Utah and an MA degree in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
